Attorney
Kenton is a skilled Utah family law attorney with a unique background in intellectual property and complex corporate litigation. Before focusing on family law, Kenton spent over 20 years representing some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in complex disputes, where he developed sharp negotiation skills, a deep understanding of high-asset cases, and the ability to navigate challenging legal conflicts with precision both in and out of court.
Prior to joining RCG, he retired from his practice at a top 100 law firm with over 700 attorneys. It was there that he developed a passion for family law by devoting a portion of his practice to pro bono matters involving family law issues such as divorce, custody, protective orders, and criminal matters involving domestic violence. In 2023, he decided to put his former practice behind him and devote himself to family law and related matters.
Today, Kenton brings that same strategic mindset to the full-time practice of family law, helping clients successfully resolve issues such as divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and property division. With particular insight into cases involving business ownership, professional practices, and complex financial matters, he is especially equipped to guide clients through high-stakes family law disputes.
Known for his balanced approach, Kenton combines the tenacity of a litigator with the compassion needed to support families during challenging times. Whether through settlement negotiations or courtroom advocacy, he is committed to protecting clients’ rights and helping them build a secure and prosperous future with their families.
Kenton earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2002 and is a member of the Utah State Bar, the Family Law Section. Kenton is a proud resident of Park City, UT, and outside the office, he enjoys practicing yoga with his wife and instructor Kim, playing ice hockey and spending time in the mountains with his family and his dogs. He also volunteers his time to provide legal services to those in need and mentoring young professionals.
