Matthew Kuehnl has a passion for helping people. As a family law attorney, he provides both legal and emotional support to clients when they’re going through some of life’s most difficult situations. Matthew prides himself on his ability to assist clients through what is often one of the most turbulent and stressful processes they will experience.

Matthew’s clients appreciate his open and honest approach, which he credits as the foundation of his relationship with every client. His clients also appreciate that he works tirelessly to achieve successful results, whether he is facilitating a negotiation or fighting for them in court.

Matthew has extensive experience in parenting plan issues and often advises his clients on how best to navigate their family law situation without exposing their children to harmful conflict or stress. Matthew assists clients in divorce and separation matters, custody and parenting plans, child support, third-party custody, and domestic violence issues.

Matthew received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, and practiced family law in Washington for five years before moving to Utah. Before becoming an attorney, Matthew performed with various choirs around the world. He has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in vocal performance and has sung in Japan, Korea, Carnegie Hall, St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, and in a Sunday Mass at The Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. Matthew is currently a member of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
